Alsop Architects - Associate Director 1998-2013

Following a direct referral from The Bartlett, Edward joined Will Alsop's studio, working closely with Will Alsop and the practice's senior leadership team across the UK and Canada. Over a fifteen-year period he contributed to and led the development of award-winning residential, cultural, transport and mixed-use projects, combining strong conceptual thinking with technical delivery and client engagement. Notable projects included the RIBA Award-winning Chips Building in Manchester, where Edward played a key role in the architectural and interior design development of the landmark mixed-use residential scheme; the Headingley Carnegie Pavilion for Yorkshire County Cricket Club, combining hospitality, events and spectator facilities within a contemporary sporting venue; Pioneer Village Station in Toronto; a hotel proposal within OMA's masterplan for Almere; and the winning competition entry for Heron Quays DLR Station in London. Working within one of the UK's most influential design studios, Edward developed a design-led approach that continues to inform his work across architecture, interiors, hospitality and cultural projects today.

As Design Director, led design quality, client engagement and project delivery across multiple UK studios, while authoring and implementing the practice-wide Design Review Framework to strengthen design governance, mentoring and project performance.

Edward continues to provide design leadership on selected projects with aLL Design, collaborating on architectural and design work connected to the legacy practice established by Will Alsop. Edward led the design vision for a competition-winning hospitality proposal for YOTEL in Saudi Arabia. The concept explored the intersection of contemporary hospitality, landscape and cultural identity, creating a distinctive guest experience rooted in place while aligning with YOTEL's international brand ambitions.

Norr Ltd - Head of Design (London) 2013-2017

Led the design and delivery of high-end international residential and mixed-use projects across India and the UK, overseeing multidisciplinary teams from concept through technical development. Key projects included luxury residential developments in Mumbai's Bandra Kurla Complex, Chembur and Annie Besant Road districts, alongside private residential commissions and integrated mixed-use schemes. Combined architectural, interior and placemaking strategies to create distinctive residential environments while managing client relationships, design quality and project performance.
